FAQ's

What is CBD?

CBD, or Cannabidiol, is one of over a hundred cannabinoids in cannabis plants.

How Does Hemp CBD Work?

What makes CBD so unique is that not only does it offer HUGE therapeutic potential, we are actually made for Cannabidiol. Research shows that people and animals have an endocannabinoid system, or ECS. The main role of the ECS is to maintain homeostasis, or in layman's terms, balance. But that’s not all! Studies also reveal that our endocannabinoid system impacts almost every major function in our bodies including but not limited to appetite, sleep, mood, pain, memory and much more! As it turns out, CBD actually interacts with our endocannabinoid system. Hence why Cannabidiol may alleviate so many different types of conditions.

Will CBD Make Me Feel High?

Both CBD and THC are cannabinoids in cannabis. However! There are some BIG differences between the two. THC, or tetrahydrocannabinol, is the compound responsible for the “high” cannabis is associated with. CBD, or Cannabidiol, on the other hand, does not possess any psychoactive qualities. Therefore, no matter how much you consume, CBD will not make you feel high. By law, hemp CBD in the United States must contain less than 0.3% THC. Our third-party lab tested CBD is 100% derived from hemp plants and contains only trace quantities of THC under the legal limit. Consuming our CBD will not make you feel high.

How Much CBD Do I Need?

The number one thing to remember when dosing CBD is to start slow and increase your dosage as necessary. In addition, pay close attention to the recommended serving size and the total number of cannabinoids you are consuming per dose. There are many different ways to take CBD. Dosing a CBD cream would be different than a tincture, for example. Hence why it is important to understand the type of CBD you are consuming and the recommended serving size. Luckily, we make this as easy as possible for you! Our line of high quality hemp CBD products at DNA Hemp clearly display the suggested serving size along with the milligrams of Cannabidiol per dose.

Is There a Difference Between Isolate, Broad Spectrum, and Full Spectrum CBD?

Yes! There are some significant differences between isolate, broad spectrum, and full spectrum CBD. Isolate is 99% Cannabidiol, it does not contain any of the other cannabinoids, terpenes, and phytocannabinoids naturally present in the plant. Yet, research shows that the compounds in hemp work better together. This phenomenon is known as the entourage effect. Isolating CBD limits the therapeutic potential. Broad spectrum CBD, in comparison, contains the full range of cannabinoids except for THC. Full spectrum CBD is the only option which contains the whole range of cannabinoids naturally present in the plant, including trace quantities (< 0.3%) of THC. Which option is best? We highly recommend full spectrum CBD to experience the entourage effect and all of the potential health benefits Cannabidiol has to offer.
